I’m back from the mountains, and had a week to wean myself back onto uni life – feeding myself has been a struggle.
I thought I would share a few pictures and details from my family ski trip to Tignes, France. (Excuse the quality, as most the pictures are from my phone because taking my camera on the slopes is just a bit dangerous…)
After leaving at 4am last Saturday, we flew from London to Chambéry with a 2.5hr transfer, that turned into around 6hrs after traffic…. great start. Eventually we made it and ran to the hire shop before it closed, ate dinner and crashed out for the 9am start…
We stayed in the Langley Hotel Tignes 2100, which was only a few minutes walk from the slopes! It was recently refurbished, so the interiors were modern and cosy with a strong Scandi vibe – and very instagram friendly…
On the Sunday, with the early start and my first day skiing, I got completely taken out by a teenager who decided to ski into me from behind… I woke up with 5 French people around me all shouting “Ca va?!”, and I think I just groaned slightly winded. STAY SAFE PEOPLE.
Anyway, I was still hurting and had a nose bleed the next night so I got an X-ray after my mum got worried. #bestsouvernirever
For most of the week, it was unbroken sunshine which resulted in a solid goggle tan – great. But I also had a great collection of hot chocolate, the best and biggest was at the Le Panoramic Grande Motte restaurant, 3000m up. But at €7 with cream… I only had it once. But the restaurant/canteen is insane and I would highly recommend visiting!
Time for some uninterrupted scenic pictures, enjoy…
And to my brother, Ami and Sean – much appreciation for your patience; both because I take photos of everything and I make you take photos of me ❤
