If you’re reading this, I’m probably having a hot chocolate, trying to bring my numb fingers back to life on the alps!
Any who, it’s been a while since denim has had a feature on my blog. But don’t worry, the love is still there, and in full promotion of all things ASOS, obviously ❤
I recently got this ASOS Petite Denim Skirt and I absolutely love it! I know it’s nothing revolutionary and most people probably have one, but it was one piece of denim I’ve never had – surprisingly!
It’s the perfect mid blue with a raw hem edge to make it that little bit more detailed. The only annoying thing is that it’s slightly low-rise so it can ride up a bit, thank god for tights!
I’ve been wearing it with slouchy knits, sweatshirts or jumpers like this ASOS Star Elbow Jumper. And to add to the newness, I found these little beauties in the ASOS sale – Office Pewter Silver Boots. They’re silver, but not too silver and are perfect day or night ❤
I loved the raw edge of my skirt so much, (and with some inspiration from this Tanya Burr video) I decided to DIY an old pair of Mom jeans… I don’t exactly have a fear of cutting my clothes, much to my mother’s dismay! But it doesn’t go wrong – too often. It’s a good way to make you wear those old jeans that are at the bottom of the pile.
If you fancy giving it ago, put them on and mark out how high you want them. Take them off and use a sharpie to draw a straight line on both legs, and cut just below where you initially marked. (If you always cut slightly less than you think, there’s always space to go further). Once you’re happy with where they sit, distress them a bit more with a nail file to pull out some fibres! Easy-peasy.
